Why Digital Marketing Will Thrive in the Recession

Here are the reasons:
The world has changed and at this time it will be different. Not only the online marketing will survive, all the  traditional media tactics will also survive. Online is far more mature and powerful now, and there are five specific reasons why it will be the go-to tactic.

Money Matters

First, online is less expensive than other marketing tactics, and a sizable and it can be undertaken quickly and less costly.Online marketing  offers flexible measurability and trackability when compared to the traditional tactics. When implemented correctly, banner ads, organic search, paid search, blogs and social media, email, lifecycle marketing and all other online marketing tactics provide a user by user performance. In this way, online marketing provides  the ability to test a wide variety of tactics, through which we can get the best response, and then adjust the marketing program accordingly.

The old saying is “I know half my marketing dollars are wasted. I just don’t know which half.” This problem is even more acute and painful in a down economy when advertising dollars are curtailed. The inherent cost, targeting, and tracking advantages of online marketing make it more likely to succeed (or at least able to minimize losses from a failed campaign). And when a wolverine is at your door, that’s the type of assurance you want from your marketing strategy.

Do you know how Pinterest is making money?

By Pinterest's emergence, its still figuring out the changes in business model.Twitter looks like a viable social media, but does anyone think they've cracked the code on their revenue model? Here we are talking about what Pinterest is and why everyone is at the back.So it's come to this: the making-money part, which is what separates a “cool feature” from a business.

This is how pinterest grow its revenue:
a)      Charging advertisers through branded campaigns, outbound links and traditional ads.
b)      Charging commercial partners for the affiliate links
c)      Selling user data/analytics

The next revolution will be based on images.
Just as mobile has an important role in understanding interactive experiences,so is Pinterest a wake-up call that content really is no longer just text on a screen.
I really don't know whether Pinterest will be the next great social network or not. No one can guess estimate that.
But I believe that the next big winner will help people to get engaged in rich media and graphics. That makes the future more like Pinterest than perhaps anything else.
